Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Om Sri Sai Ram.
The Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) is happy to announce that Buddha Poornima will be celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam on 18th and 19th May 2019. The programme will be organised under the leadership of the SSIO of Zone 4A, with active participation of SSIO members from Zones 4A, 4B, 5 and other countries around the world. The theme of the festival is “Chatur Brahma Vihar”.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba emphasised the unity of faiths and the harmony of religions and many religious festivals were celebrated in His divine presence. Buddha Poornima is the holiest day for Buddhists. This is the thrice-blessed day – the day Lord Buddha was born, attained enlightenment and took Mahaparinirvana. The teachings of Buddha are universal, and Buddhism is the fourth largest religion in the world with over 520 million followers. Traditionally, Buddha Poornima has been celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam and many Sathya Sai Centres around the world for many decades.
A Program Outline is attached and the final programme will be available at a later date.
Thank you for your attention.
With loving regards,
Narendranath Reddy, M.D.
