With His divine grace and blessings we cordially invite you to the SSSIO USA Region 3 Retreat at Warren Willis United Methodist Camp, Fruitland Park, Florida.
The retreat will be held during Memorial Day weekend, May 24th – 27th, 2024. The theme of the retreat is “Living with Sai”.
We will have inspirational talks by guest speakers, uplifting devotional programs, enlightening workshops, and activities for children and young adults. It will be a spiritual weekend with activities for the entire family and a great opportunity for all of us to connect and collectively offer our gratitude to Lord Sai.

Mrs. Faranak Khandadia grew up in a family devoted to Swami. A clinical psychologist and a psychotherapist by training, she was Professor and Head of Psychology Department in a Bombay University college, before she moved to the USA. She has been a Balvikas guru for over 40 years. She was chosen as one of the first EHV trainers of Bombay’s English Team in the early 1980s and also as one of the trainers for Balvikas gurus in Bombay. She has trained many Balvikas and SSE teachers from all over the globe and has conducted parenting workshops for teachers and parents internationally. She has also participated in various service activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization. She worked as the Lead Psychologist for Bombay’s Vocational Guidance wing of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization. Faranak currently serves as the SSSIO Online SSE Coordinator.
Dr. Nilem Patel was introduced to Swami at the age of seven. She and her family were blessed to have made several trips to Puttaparthi and received direct guidance from Swami. Throughout the years, she has participated in several programs during pilgrimages to Puttaparthi, including plays and musical offerings in Swami’s divine physical presence. She is an SSE alumna and continues to support the SSE program in various capacities in her center and region. Nilem currently serves as the SSSIO USA Region 8 Devotional Coordinator and Medical Director, as well as the President of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Glendale, CA. She is a practicing Endocrinologist in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Aravind Balasubramanya comes from a family that has been devoted to Swami from early 1960s. He completed his Bachelor of Science from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, receiving a gold medal. He also holds an M.S. (Chemistry) and an MBA from the SSSIHL. He worked for Radio Sai from 2007 to 2021. Aravind has authored five books on Swami. He was Swami’s photographer for nearly five years. Aravind has dedicated his life to serving Swami and sharing His teachings through various media channels. He is presently part of the SSSIO Digital Media team and mentors the Young Adults.
There will be several opportunities to help with registration, set up, serving meals etc. throughout the weekend. We also have 2 service projects planned for Sunday afternoon. In addition, as part of the Sai 100 initiative, we will be planting trees at the retreat site on Monday morning.
